The bombing of the Underground and bus in London the other day, with over 50 passengers killed and many more wounded, is yet another manifestation of disaffected Muslim youth.
Disaffected Muslim young men seem to be the most virulent form of terrorist today, from New York, to Bali, to Madrid, to Baghdad, to London, with no end in sight.
Yet the vast majority of Muslims, we are reminded from the president to the British prime minister on down, emphasize that there are a billion Muslims who, if asked, would oppose these bombings.
The media usually refer to the bombers as Islamic Fundamentalists.
The mainstream Muslim responds by saying that these bombings are anti-Islamic, that the Koran does not condone the murder of innocents, any more than the Christian bible condones mass-murder, either, and we know of much of that, from the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre of Protestants by Catholics, to the Holocaust, Christians murdering Jews, to Orthodox Serbs murdering 8,000 Muslims in Srebenitza recently.
A modest proposal, to spare the innocent Muslim, would be to re-label the angry bombers. Call them:
"Anti-Islamic Murder Bombers"
The fact that they commit suicide in the process is interesting, informative, and significant, especially to those charged with protecting against such acts, but the fact that they murder men, women, and children, innocent bystanders, is more significant from the standpoint of the audience for such atrocities.
They are done to impress an audience.
The bombers are giving their religion a bad name.
Real Muslims don't like it.
